Spring Planting: March – May
A huge selection of Cottage Garden Perennials are now available. We have all the old favourites such as Lupins, Delphiniums and Foxgloves, plus many new and unusual varieties. These become available throughout the Spring and into the Summer.
Potted bulbs are now available in small and large pots and are ideal if you did not get around to planting them in the Autumn. They also make great Gifts and can be planted in containers, wicker baskets or directly into the ground. Varieties include: Minature Daffoldils, Hyacinths and Tulips. Snowdrops and Bluebells will also be available in flower at the end of January.
For scent choose from our range of fragrant perennial Pinks and Violas.
March/April is the perfect time to plant new Roses. We keep a wide range of Floribunda, Hybrid Tea, Climbing and Old English Roses. They can make an ideal gift for Mothers Day, Birthdays and Anniversaries.
If you would like us to refill your hanging baskets or make you some new ones up, then we would suggest that you order these by the end of March. This should ensure that they are available for when you would like them. We do get booked up very quickly and have a limit on the how many we can make up each week.
Need to cover a fence or wall? – our range of Clematis (potted and caned 4ft plant) flowering as early as April and varieties great for flowering throughout the Summer. We also have a wide range of plants for all kinds of situations.
For those of you who want to grow your own fruit and vegetables, we have a range of single pot and trays of vegetables eg Cabbages, Onions, Leeks, Courgettes, Aubergines and many more. Salad plants eg Cucumbers & Peppers , Tomatoes and fruit (including fruit trees and Strawberries). These are available from April depending on variety.
If you do not know the best plants for your garden, pots or baskets then just ask.
If we do not have the plant that you are looking for please ask and we will try to get this from one of our local growers.
